Brett Clarke out

Birmingham, UK – SRT Press release – for immediate release.

Sim Racing Team, SRT, announce with deep sadness that the driver of the #1 Caltex Ford Falcon FGX and the #69 Texaco Ford Falcon FG, 5 times series champion Brett Clarke will be standing down from all driving duties immediately.

Team Manager Steve O’Connor: ‘It’s been a real honour to have Brett as part of this team, he is part of the DNA of SRT. Brett has performed beyond all expectations time and again. His four titles with SRT are something extraordinary, I doubt we will see the like again. A real team player, his absence will be felt in every area of the team. However other commitments have taken Brett out of our hands and we are only to happy to support him with his request to stand down. We’d like to wish Brett all the best for the future and if the time comes for him to return, we’ll be happy to give him a test.

Brett Clarke: ‘Unfortunatley due to mounting work commitments, I’m having to take off 6 months to a year. The only time I have to race is time I’m not spending with my family. And as well know, family comes first. I’d like to thank the team and all of the drivers for the competition over the past few seasons. Hopefully once things clear up a bit, I will be able to return and challenge once more.’

SRT will announce a replacement driver within the next 24 hours.
